Pima County Democratic Party Appoints Eva Carrillo Dong to First Vice-Chair Position
Yesterday, at the Pima County Democratic Party’s (PCDP) Leadership meeting, PCDP Chair Jeff Rogers appointed Eva Carrillo Dong as PCDP’s new First Vice-Chair. Dong will replace Malena Barajas, who will be leaving Tucson to study at New York University.
Eva Carrillo Dong is the superintendent of the Pima Accommodation School District. She supervises the CAPE educational program at the Pima County Juvenile Detention Center and the Pima County Adult Detention Center. Her current community involvement includes: Sunnyside Unified School District’s Governing Board Member, Child and Family Resources’ Liberty Partnership Council, Elder’s Use of Services, College of Nursing, Las Adelitas Arizona Board Member, Arizona Hispanic Native American Indian Caucus Treasurer and more.

The purpose and objectives of the Pima County Democratic Party shall be to foster, encourage, and promote the aims and objectives of the Democratic Party, and to aid in the election of Democratic candidates for public office, particularly in Pima County.
