Santa Rita Democrats Planning Meeting
Date:
Saturday, Jan 9
Description:
12:30 pm Social time. 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm Planning Meeting. The first regular monthly meeting of DCSRA of 2010 will take on the tone of a sports team getting ready for a big game. Members will be asked to huddle around a table with a coach (a board member) and help plan the club s strategy for the coming year. 2010 will be a challenging year for DCSRA, and the Board wants to hear from the members on how best to meet the challenges ahead of us. Topics for discussion and action will be: (1) How best to add some more fun & fellowship to monthly meetings and to think creatively about new events that have the potential of bringing in new members; (2) How to improve on our communications to existing members and how and under what circumstances should the club be reaching out to non-DCSRA registered democrats; and (3) Are we giving members enough opportunities to get to know candidates using the monthly meeting format or is there a better way to have more one-on-one contact with political candidates.

This will be a unique monthly meeting where there will be no speakers -- the members themselves are the star attraction. Please come and bring your best ideas. You might even want to bring your track shoes to this fast-paced meeting. Humor, laughs and good snacks will be in abundance. See you on the 9th!
