STATE HOUSE CANDIDATE DON JORGENSEN SUPPORTS EXPANSION OF HEALTH CARE GROUP FOR SMALL BUSINESS

Tucson - Don Jorgensen, Candidate for State Representative in LD26, speaking at the Democrats of Oro Valley meeting on Monday night, addressed small businesses needs in Arizona and spoke in support of removing the freeze on enrollments in the Arizona HealthCare Group.

“Arizona’s future depends on assuring equal opportunity for our small business owners, and one of the greatest roadblocks to starting or growing a small business is access to affordable health care coverage.”

“Improving our quality of life starts with access to quality and affordable health care for all Arizonans. Keeping the Arizona Health Plan option offers a realistic choice for entrepreneurs and small business owners who cannot afford the big insurance company premiums – if they’re offered at all.”

Jorgensen noted that he is one of the few small business owners who has always provided healthcare for his employees. He stated that “Arizonans should not live in fear that a major illness could mean bankruptcy or that a job loss means no health insurance.”

“That’s I am fighting for better health care options for individuals and small businesses, Jorgensen added. “ Expanding the Arizona Health Care insurance pool means lower costs for small business – and better care for Arizonans.”
