In Memoriam William (Bill) Minette Died March 11, 2005 One of our great Democratic Party activists, Bill Minette died at the age of 85 at his recent home in Virginia.  Bill was Pima.County Chairman several times, and was the Arizona State Democratic Party Chairman several years ago.  Bill made numerous lasting contributions to the Party including the introduction of modern computer technology.  He created the concept of a high level donor group, known then as the "Chairman's Caucus and now revitalized as the Catalina Democrats.  Bill was an honorary member of the Nucleus Club.. NUCLEUS BOARD APPROVES BY-LAWS AMENDMENT
Change of Fiscal Year to be Voted at Annual Meeting in May

 

     The Nucleus Board of Directors has voted to submit a proposed change in the by-laws to the full membership at the Club's Annual meeting in May.  The proposal would change the Club's fiscal year from the current July 1 - June 30 period to a calendar year: January 1 - December 31.

 

ARIZONA DEMOCRATIC STATE COMMITTEE MEETING: APRIL 30

 

     The Arizona State Democratic Party will hold the Spring State Committee Meeting on Saturday, April 30 at the Wyndham Hotel, 50 E Adams St. in Phoenix.  The meeting will begin promptly at 1:00 PM with registration from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM.  The State Committee Meeting will be preceded by two Training Panels:  (1) Rapid Response Communications, and  (2) Voter Registration under Proposition 200..
     All State Committee members are urged to participate in the Committee Meeting (in person, or if unable to attend, by proxy).  Both the State Committee Meeting and the Training Panels are open to all interested Democrats.

DRAWS OVERFLOW CROWD

         The Special December Nucleus Club Meeting with Governor Janet Napolitano was held on Tuesday, December 21, and a large crowd of Democrats received the Governor's words with great enthusiasm.  The meeting was open to all Democrats as guests of the Nucleus Club, and a large number responded by attending the event. Many new members joined the nucleus Club as a result of seeing first-hand what the group accomplishes.
